My name is Richard D. Kim. I graduated the Culinary institute of America in 1994.
I have enjoyed working for Cafe des Artiste, Park Avenue Cafe, Aquavit, Sign of the Dove, and Tavern on the Green; but now I will enjoy cooking for you and your friends.
Bio
I grew up on the upper west side in NYC. I have worked for and dined in some of the finest restaurants . I have also been fortunate enough to have enjoyed haute cuisine in many countries.
You would not believe how I got started in cooking.
Growing up I always thought I would be something other than a chef. Food was not my main focus until my late teenage years.
When I was nineteen I met my wife and fell in love after she had made a Chanterelle mushroom pasta dish for me. My wife suggested I try cooking as a hobby and the rest is history.
